The Canadian renewable energy producer Grasshopper Energy is expanding in Romania, through a partnership with Prince Stefan Sturdza, the son of Romanian businessman and former tennis player Dimitrie Sturzda. The agreement covers the construction of solar parks with a capacity of up to 1GW in Romania and involves investments of 1 billion dollars by 2030. Founded in 2007, Grasshopper Energy develops and invests in solar parks, with assets of 1.8 billion dollars and projects under development worth 6.5 billion dollars, reveals data analyzed by Profit.ro.
