Alerion Clean Power buys three solar plants with 14.3 MW total capacity in Romania

Italian renewable energy holding Alerion Clean Power said on Tuesday that it has acquired three companies that own as many photovoltaic plants currently under construction in Romania with a total installed capacity of approximately 14.3 MW. Construction of the three acquired plants is expected to be completed by October, Alerion said in a press release.

Alerion made the acquisition through its Romanian subsidiary Alerion Clean Power RO. This transaction is part of the collaboration agreement signed with PV Project RO in February, which envisages the construction of photovoltaic plants with a total installed capacity of approximately 200 MW in Romania by 2023.

Alerion Clean Power SpA is primarily engaged in the utilities industry involved in electricity production from renewable sources.

In May, Alerion said that it has signed an agreement with Monsson Alma for the development of three new wind projects in Romania with a total capacity of some 350 MW.
